1861 -1865 The Civil War

Forsyt County had soldiers on both sides although the majority were on the side of the SOUTH.

1863 Militia Enrollment The roll exhibits a true enrollment of the 39th Senatorial District Georgia Militia Company, as required by the Act of 14th December 1863, for reorganizing the Militia of the State of Georgia. Commoning known as the "Joe Brown" Census.
