This transcription of the 1840 census was undertaken and done as a service to researchers of this time period in Franklin County. While each person involved tried to faithfully render what was in the microfilmed copy of the census, it is not only possible but probable that mistakes were made. The most possible errors are in the reading of the names and so copies of the "Head of Household" were scanned and you are encouraged to view the actual census to verify that we have properly recorded your ancestors.
