George Edwin Verner was born Aug. 11, 1831 in Franklin Co. GA and died Dec.21, 1908. He was married to Anna (Annie) Sue Guest on Aug 10,1851. They had eight children all born in Franklin Co.:

          1. Frank
          2. Jackson
          3. William
          4. Morgan
          5. Susie
          6. Sarah
          7. Martha
          8. Annie

One of their sons J. William Verner was born Jan.27,1862 and died Jan.17, 1942; J. William married E. Jane (Janie) Kesler in 1882. They had nine children; all which were born in Franklin County.
