Funeral Services for Mrs. Artie Missie Oliver, 96, were held at 3:00 p.m. on December 17,1986, at Miller Funeral Chapel in Cairo. The Rev.P.D. Gilliard & the Rev. Leon Andrews officiated, burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marion Gilliard, Anderson White, William Faircloth, Kelvin Allen and Kendall Oliver. Mrs. Oliver died. Dec.16, 1986, after an extended illness. She was born October 8, 1890 in Grady County, She was a daughter of Edward Asbury White, Jr. & Florence Olivia Cox White. She has been a life time resident of Cairo. She was a housewife and a member of Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Oliver married in Grady County 1907, to William TO Oliver who died in 1974. Survivors include a sister Edna White Butler Dunellen, Fl., Grandsons, Lamar Oliver, Thomasville, Sonny Oliver, Valdosta, and Tommy Oliver, Gainesville, Fl; granddaughter Pam Oliver Hawks, Mobile, Al. Nieces Mary White Bass, Essie White Moncrief, and Katie White Rich, Thomasville, and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by sons Lamar Oliver, John Ed Oliver and Ralph Oliver.
