In cooperation with the Buchanan Masons, owners of the film,
the Haralson County Historical Society is proud to present
this special preview of Buchanan On Parade, a 70-minute
entertainment from Harold Jeffers Productions. Made between
1957 and 1961, this feature portrays everyday life in Haralson
County during those years. See what your neighbors looked like
when they were young. Visit again with special friends and loved
ones now departed. Teach your children what life was like in the
"good old days".
This event will begin promptly at noon, on Saturday February 12th in the James Murphy Courtroom of the Historic Courthouse in Buchanan.
Audience members are invited to help produce the film version to be released for sale to the public, by making written notes of any people, places or things in the movie familiar to them. Significant contributors will be acknowledged by name in the film credits!
As of press time, we regret the inability to borrow a video projector means that this film will be exhibited on a 25" TV set, so come early for the best seat! Or leave word for Ron Feigenblatt at (770)646-3369 if you can loan a video projector for this event.
