Tallapoosa Dogwood
Arts & Crafts Fair

This year (2008), the Annual Tallapoosa Dogwood Fair will take place on the second Saturday of April, the 12th. This event has been held in Tallapoosa, Georgia for nearly a quarter century and has been continuously sponsored by the Tallapoosa Historical Society for the past twelve years.

The Dogwood Fair has grown over time and we will continue the endeavor to expand. Last year’s Fair featured about 100 exhibitors (many annual participants) and attracted hundreds of visitors. We currently offer a variety of arts, crafts, and food vendors, as well as unique artisans.

Tallapoosa, Georgia is a beautiful and peaceful little village hugging the Georgia-Alabama state line on US Hwy 78, 10 miles west of Bremen, Georgia, and 4 miles north of Exit 5 of Interstate 20.

This non-profit event allows the Tallapoosa Historical Society to implement its objectives:

• to stimulate and maintain interest in all matters pertaining to the past and future history and well-being of the City of Tallapoosa, Georgia
• to establish and promote educational and meaningful endeavors pertaining to same
• to collect, preserve and display various properties, information and artifacts pertaining to same
• to cooperate and interact with other similar groups and public agencies toward these common goals.
