Liberty County is one of Georgia's oldest counties and includes the cities
of Hinesville and Midway. The port of Sunbury was located in Liberty
County. Fort Stewart is located in Liberty County.
Liberty County, like the remainder of the Coastal Region of Georgia,
is rich in history and has produced some very memorable characters.
