Hello!  Thank you for visiting our Liberty County, GaGenWeb Project page.  This page is a collaboration of work between Richard Pettys, Jr. and Kathleen Pettys .  We have recently taken this page, and the work will be slow in coming.  However, we plan to have a tremendous amount of data for your use and perusal.  We ask that, in exchange for using our site, you assist us in the collection of data.

Liberty County is one of Georgia's oldest counties and includes the cities of Hinesville and Midway.  The port of Sunbury was located in Liberty County.  Fort Stewart is located in Liberty County.  Liberty County, like the remainder of the Coastal Region of Georgia, is rich in history and has produced some very memorable characters.

Richard Pettys, Jr. is the Regional Coordinator for the Coastal Region of Georgia.  Tim Stowell is the State Coordinator.  Brenda Pierce is the Assistant State Coordinator.
