Amanda C. Mote was the daughter of Levi Mote Jr. and Elizabeth Davis Mote. The three on the date (1863) of the original stone is backward. The new marker was placed by her descendants. Amanda was the first wife of William Cicero Stargel, and was 21 years old when she died.
