James Oliver Fowler

James Oliver "Oley" Fowler was the son of Mayfield Fowler.  He was born 6 January 1868 and died 13 August 1939.  He married Samantha Jane "Manty" Beard on 13 November 1887 in Madison County.  Samantha was born on 27 May 1868 and died 30 April 1940.  She was the daughter of William Watson Beard and Elmira Fortson. 

James and Samantha ran one of the earliest telephone companies in the area.
