Gertrude Burroughs was born on 26 February 1897 in Madison County, the daughter of Robert E. Lee Burroughs (1863-1914) and Elizabeth Ware (1860-1946).   Gertude died on 20 October 1970.  Her husband, Young T. Hawks, was born about 1899 and died on 22 March 1976.  The two children in the photograph are their grandsons.
