The following information was contributed by Curtis Carter

The 3rd Georgia Volunteers were formed from the Marion, Schley Co. areas in mid 1864. They saw battle in Dec. 1864 at the Battle of Coosawhatchie River in South Carolina. Also known as Pocotaligo by the Union Forces.

Most of the men of the 3rd Georgia Volunteers were either very young or very old. The battle is described in the "Southern Historical Papers".

My great-great grandfather was Andrew Taylor Muldrow/Mulder who was from Marion County and was Bryan Griggs' Grandson.
