My gggrandfather was Robert Patterson Boyd and his wife was Mary Wylie. He died in 1849 in Newton County and Mary died in 1880 in Newton County. Their son, James Thomason Boyd married Susanna Thompson on December 20, 1859, in Hopewell, Newton County. He died on April 26, 1906, and she died August 30, 1874, in Newton County. Their son, my grandfather, Thomas James Boyd, dob August 19, 1863, married Martha Ann Castles, dob April 27, 1866, on December 12, 1885, in Newton County. I would love to know ANYTHING about these families. I do have a little information on the Boyd side, but do not have anything on the WYLIE, THOMPSON, or CASTLES. The Boyds seem to have all been Presbyterians and lived in the Hopewell Community. I believe Robert Patterson Boyd had a plantation, or large farm, and that the land stayed in the family for many years. Martha Castles's father was Dr. Henry Charles Castles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
