most of their lives in the northeast corner of Alabama, near the Georgia

I am looking for info on John Andrew COOK from Pickens
My father, Luther David MULKEY was born in Dalton, Georgia
in 1905 to George William and Amanda MULKEY. From 1910 census records for
Whitfield County, George William would have been around 35 years old. George
William was also born in Whitfield County, Georgia. I believe that his
father,Frank Myron MULKEY moved to Whitfield County as a youth from Habersham.I
have a family reference to his Civil War service and should be able to
document that. I would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer and willbe
happy to share what I find.
We are frantically looking for my grandfather's family.
We know very little about him since he died in 1909, shortly after my father
was born. According to family hstory, he was born in GA about 1880; moved
to Morgan Co., TN and married in 1900. He and his wife had two children,
the youngest of whom was my father. They moved to Montana in 1909 where
he died shortly afterward of pneumonia. We've been told there were about
13 children in the family, but we have no names of siblings or parents.
We've been told there was Indian blood in the family line, but we can't
confirm it because we don't know where it came from.
