Looking for parents and siblings of WILLIAM CRISWELL born 1865 Madison Co Georgia married MAUD BARKLEY b 1871 Kentucky or Georgia not sure William and Maud were married in Walton County Georgia and lived most of their married lives there. William died in Monroe Ga. and is buried at Centerhill Baptist Church Gratis Ga. Not sure where Maud died but she is buried at Centerhill Baptist Church also.

His daughter Minnie Elizaabeth Donald (my Grandmother) was born on October 20, 1882 in Bartow County, Georgia. I believe she was born in Cartersville, but am not positive. She died in Chattooga County Georgia on September 4, 1959.

Wife's father, Beverly Allen GRIFFIN b. ca 1788 SC was all over Georgia 1820-40... Jones, Walton, DeKalb and land lottery in Cherokee. In 1850 and 60s in Calhoun Co,AL.

Andrew Jackson LAWRENCE (b. Dec 1845) served in Co. A of the 23rd Regiment of the GA Inf during the Civil War along with a brother, William M; WML was killed in the final days of the war. AJL married Virginia XXX (b.1847) after the war and had 4 daughters, Annie, Rebecca, Millie and Mary Alice and possibly one son before leaving NW GA for Searcy Cty AR in the very early 1870s. I can't find AJL or WML listed in any census of Cass/Bartow Cty as children prior to the 1870 censuses or of AJL in the 1870 census as an HOH. I don't know who AJLs parents were and have no clues as to his wife's maiden name. Please help!

I am looking for any information on the ancestry of William Smith JONES, b. 8/25/1819 d. 9/24/1911 at Wildwood, Dade County, and his wife, Louisa K. TATE, b. 8/22/1829 d. 12/10/1890 at Egypt Hollow, Dade County. They were married on 1/14/1847 in Dade County, and are buried at Old Bethlehem Cemetery, also in Dade County. Both are listed in the 1850 Dade County census along with two of their children, George and Hannah.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather John T. CARPENTER.He was born in North Carolina in 1823. He came to Georgia in 1850, resided in Walker and Chattooga Counties. He married Frances E. Richardson on January 18, 1855 in Chattooga County Georgia. The 1860 census had them in Arkansas, in 1870 they were in Walker County, and in 1880 they were back in Chattooga County. He died in Chattooga County on October 14, 1895. I would like to obtain information on his parents and other members of the family.
My gggrandfather is believed to be Hill M. ROGERS, who had a son named Peyton who ran away from the family at about 10 years of age. I have all of the descendents of Peyton Rodgers but know nothing of Hill Rogers other than the "Walker County Historical Society Newsletter (summer 1992) was supposed to have an article about Hill Rogers. If anyone has access to that article please notify me. I will gladly reimburse for copying fees or any other fees associated with it. Hill Rogers migrated to the Nacogdoches area of Texas where my ggrandfather was found as a runaway and raised by the Truitt family. I will gladly exchange any info that I have.

He later joined the US Marines, married Ida Prince DOYLE in March 1903 and had a son the next year. Then he abandoned the Marines to work on the Panama Canal and the marriage dissolved. There are family rumors of a Panamanian family. He was last heard from in NYC in 1944, and there are other rumors of incarceration in NY.
