Deed of James Donohoe/Dunnahoo
1804, Oglethorpe Co., GA
This indenture made the seventeenth of September in the year of
our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Four between Thomas Loving of Oglethorpe County
and State of Georgia of the one part, and James Donohoe of the County and state aforesaid
of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of three hundred
dollars to him in hand paid by the said James Donohoe at or before the Sealing and
Delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Thomas
Loving hath granted bargained sold and released and confirmed and by these presents doth
grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said James Donohoe in certain part and
parcel of land containing one hundred and thirty acres be the same more or less situate
lying and being in the County of Oglethorpe on the waters of Golden Grove Creek and
bounded as follows. Beginning at the Post Oak thense South on Popes line 13 chains 13 lks.
To a G___corner, thense west to a corner chesnut 24 chains 20 links thence S 21 chains 70
links to a post oak thense S 38 E 38 chains 50 links to a black oak. Thence N 10 E 31
chains 64 links to a pine thence N 80 west 20 chains to a post oak, it being a part of a
tract of land granted to Richardson Hunt the 26th day of January one thousand
seven hundred and eight seven, bounded northward by Empary (sic) Wh__s, land and on the
west side by Abraham G. Enopes and on the east side by land of John Colleys together with
all and singular the premises thereunto belonging as in any wise thereunto appertaining to
have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises above mentioned unto the
said James Donohoe heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas Loving his heirs and
assigns do and will arrant and defend the same against every person or persons whatsoever
that may or shall lay any claim thereunto. In witnesses whereof the said Thomas Loving and
his wife Rosamond Loving having hereto set their hands and seals the day and year above
written.

Personally came before me Joshua Glass one of the justices
assigned to keep the peace in the county aforesaid Robert Colquette and William Lee and
made oath that they saw the written deed executed and that Wilson Woodruff was a
subscribing witness with them sworn and subscribed to this 23rd day of December
1804 before me, Joshua Glass J.P.
