Educational ProgramsEach year the Society sponsors a Georgia History project for 8th graders. The three winners are awarded Savings Bonds courtesy of the local banks.

Coming soon Fort Valley Primary School, Everett Square, Troutman House, Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Bandstand. One of these precious buildings can be yours for only $13.91 including tax. Central of Georgia Railway and Connecting Lines by (Richard E. Prince) Many photos by Mr. Hugh Moss Comer. This Railroad goes through Peach County and was very important in the early history of the area.
Doctor Roger's Ordeal by Mr. Homer Avera, pharmacist who had Avera Drugs. Fiction. About a middle Georgia physician during the 1860's. Contains many references to accurate historical characters and events from Fort Valley to Savannah to Jefferson to Andersonville. Possibly the only copy of the book resides at Avera Drug Company in Fort Valley, and bears the hand-written inscription "property of Homer L. Avera".
