My GG Grandfather JOHN F BROWN married AMANDA CARLTON. I am interested in information on John who is from Paulding County but moved to Bartow. On the 1920 census, Amanda and her two daughters Nancy and Emma reside in Polk County, apparantly to be closer to son Ambrose. It has been said that John F. Brown was admitted to Georgia State Sanitarium. I am attempting to locate his official death record with little success. His monument at Raccoon Creek Church in Bartow County indicates John F (JF) Brown was born Nov 1859 and died Feb 1928. There should be an official death certificate reference in the 1919-1998 Georgia Death Database. I believe he passed away at the sanitarium. His childen were George, Clifford, Emma, Nancy (married Tom Brumbelow), Jeannette. I also think the death year reflected on the monument is either incorrect or was incorrectly transcribed in the index of the cemetery record at gabartow.org. If you are familiar with John F.
