In the name of God amen. I Samuel B. Edmondson being of sound mind, memory, calling to mind the uncertainty of death..of this mortal life make this my last will and testament revoking all others. My will and desire is that all my just debts shall be paid.
My will and desire is that my beloved wife keep all my property together as long as she remains my widow or until either of my four children shall become of legal age or marry. Names: Harriett T. Edmondson, Poly Anne [ or July Anne] Edmondson, Henry A. Edmondson and Martha V Edmondson. Will and desire is if my wife Edmondson should marry then and equal division to take place between my wife and my four children above mentioned. My desire is that the money due me from Sammon wich is five hundred eight dollars on Little B Broach sixty five dollars. The Estate of William Edmondson Decd. Thirteen dollars on Janice Newsome. My desire is when said money is collected be lade out in a negro or negroes for the use of my wife and children. My will and desire is that Robert Newsome my next friend execute this my last will and testament.

Personally appeared in open court Joel Newsom and David A. Newsom two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn say they saw the within named Samuel B. Edmondson sign and heard him acknowledge the same to be his last will and testament and each believe him to be of perfect sound mind and memory at the time of the time of the execution thereof and that they together with Jesse Booles subscribed their names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the testator.
