• Sketches of Rabun County History 1819-1948 by Andrew Jackson Ritchie. Presents a detailed description of the county from the earliest days through the late 1940s, with brief histories of early settlers included. Considered to be the premier source for Rabun County history.
• Rabun County Georgia and Its People Vol. 1 published by the Rabun County Historical Society, 1992. A heritage-type book with articles about area families, churches and events. Also includes a transcription of the 1830 census for the county and many useful maps.
• Chips Off the Same Block by Monteen Keener Watts, 1986. Mrs. Watts picks up where Andrew Jackson Ritchie left off. Many area families, especially those who settled in the north end of the county, are given.
• The Beck Family compiled by Susan Lewis Koyle. Primarily a personal family history, this work also contains detailed research on the Beck family of Rabun County.
• Descendants of Jacob Eller by Edward K. Eller. The Eller family in North Carolina and Georgia.
