John Conelas HILTON (HELTON) b. 3-11-1818, d. 12-12-1891 married Nov. 9. 1840 to Susan Elizabeth THOMPSON, both are buried @ Rehobeth Church in Randolph Co. Ga. Need parents and birth places. They had 14 children, all born in Randolph Co. Ga., according to census records. Have info on most descendants, will share.

HOWARD (04/22/98)

I am looking for any information anyone may have on a Washington HOWARD, Catherine HOWARD, or any of their children. I show a Ulysses (Captain) HOWARD was born to these two in 1895. I am not 100% sure of this date but it is what appears on his death certificate. Any kind of connection would be deeply appreciated.

Joseph b GA m Nancy MIZELL b GA, daughter of Luke MIZELL b NC d 1827 Screven Co GA. Joseph registered his brand "NP" in 1806 in Screven Co GA. Joseph and Nancy granted their children, Luke Mizell PEAVY and Isaac PEAVY, land in Wilkinson Co GA (which was recorded in Screven Co GA in 1808). Joseph and Nancy's sons Luke [Mizell] PEAVY and Guilford PEAVY (b c 1800 d > Jun 1882) inherited land that had belonged to their grandfather Luke MIZELL which Guilford PEAVY sold in 1837 and Luke [Mizell] PEAVY sold in 1850.

Randolph Co GA Census of 1850: Luke PEVY, 40 (b c 1810), a wheelwright, his wife Elizabeth 30 (b c 1820), their daughter F. C. 11 (b c 1839) and their three sons, William I(or J) 9 (b c 1841), Mikager (Micajah?) 7 (b c 1843) and H. W. 1 (b c 1849).

Need mother of William Benjamin DIXSON b. 1842 in Stewart Co., GA; son of Sam DICKSON b. 1794 Duplin Co., NC.

Was she a MAINOR? Was her name Mary Elizabeth? They lived next to Benjamin MAINOR in Stewart Co., and while living in Cuthbert, GA, Will was Admin. of the estate of a William MAINOR.

Any help appreciated.

An "aunt", Anne THOMPSON, was in the 1880 Census of Cuthbert, living with William B. DIXSON and his family. Who was she and how was she kin?

She may have been W.B.'s aunt. He was b. 1842, d. 1882.

If my grandmother, Lena's, aunt, my gm was b. 1866, d. 1936. Her mother was Ann Eliza JOHNSTON.

MARTIN / WALLER (05/04/98)

I am searching for a Sarah Jane MARTIN. She was b. 1841 in AL, but came back with family to Randolph Co., GA. I located the marriage record in this county. She was married to James S. WALLER on Dec 31, 1857.

I have found what looks like an "S. J. MARTIN" within the family of G. W. MARTIN (found in the 1850 and 1860 Randolph Co., GA census).

Is Sarah Jane familiar to you? I checked all the MARTIN families within Randolph and Crawford Co. (where he lived).

Looking for info on the DAVID (1850-1900) family of Randolph County. My gggrandparents were Charles ROGERS and Henrietta Rebecca DAVID ROGERS. Her parents were I.H. and Ellen DAVID. I know she had a brother named John DAVID that became guardian of their children when they died. In old letters Isaac and Marvin were mentioned. Any info about this family would be greatly appreciated.

JENKINS family of Edison, Ga. William Leroy JENKINS m. Margarete Anne LYLE. William Leroy's father, Leroy was born in 1807 and lived most of his life in the seventh district of Randolph County Georgia. Leroy JENKINS died in 1851 in Randolph County, Georgia. Leroy JENKINS married Mary GRIER (b 1812 d 1888, buried in Randolph County). Mary GRIER JENKINS bore at least seven children, including my great grandfather, William Leroy JENKINS. Leroy's son, Dr. Charles James JENKINS, practiced medicine in Edison, Ga. He married Mamie WATKINS. She bore five children, Ralph WATKINS JENKINS, Madge WATKINS JENKINS, Oliver WATKINS JENKINS (my father), Jamie WATKINS JENKINS and Charlie WATKINS JENKINS. My grandmother said they were just as much her children as they were Dr JENKINS'. I need proof of the parentage of Leroy JENKINS and leads on the parentage of his wife, Mary GRIER JENKINS.

Can any one look up marriage of Silas & Doratha? Lucinda is my g grand mother. She married William Norman WILLIAMS 04 July 1852 Ala. or Ga.

Silas also had the following children: William E. b: 26 Oct. 1817 m/Lydia MOSELY, Lewis E. MOSELY @1828 m/Sarah, Isaiah Green ,b:@1830 Louisa Jane b:1838 m/Searcy, Wiley W. b:@1839. Robert W. married Nannie Clay. both died in Meridian. Lucinda also died in Lauderdale Co. Ms.
