Liberty is possibly the third oldest Methodist Church in America, not just in GA.  It's always been recognized as the oldest Methodist Church in GA.  Methodist historians had believed that Grant's Meeting House in Wilkes Co. was the first Methodist Church, but it looks like Liberty is even older than Grant's - which hasn't existed for over 100 years.
