A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm today at Platt's
Funeral Home, Augusta. The funeral will be at
11am Wednesday at Platt's Funeral Home with the Rev.
P. James Costigan officiating. Burial will be in
Westover Memorial Park, Augusta.
Mr. Spears was a native of Thomson and lived most of his
life in Augusta. He was retired owner-operator
of Spears Signs and a member of St. Mary On The Hill
Catholic Church. He was also a member of
Green Meadow Golf Club and Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Spears and Chester
W. Spears, Jr., both of Augusta; three
daughters, Patricia Murphy, Martinez, and Phyllis Holland-Badke
and Sandra Boysworth, Augusta; and a
sister, Mrs. Mickey Sones, N. Augusta.
Pallbearers will be Michael Spears, Chris Spears, Bert
Holland, Bob Boysworth, Joe Moog, and Bunny
Purvis.
Friends may call at the funeral home or at the residence
of James E. Spears.
Notes: This one is my grandfather. I know it
says Lincolnton, but he was from Augusta and died in Augusta. He
didn't even live
in Lincolnton anymore by this time. He was living in a nursing
home.
Eddie Lee Spears, retired Richmond county planter, died
at his home 247 Walker Street,
yesterday morning after a sudden illness. He was 68 years
of age.
He was a native of Burke County but had been living in
Augusta for 19 years. He was a member
of St James Methodist Church and active in its affairs.
Funeral services will be held at St James Methodist Church
this afternoon at 3 o'clock with the
Rev Wills M Jones officiating. Interment will be in West
View cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J Frank Hundley, Milton Owens, Jimmie
Salters, Wilbur Smallwood, William
Hatfield, and Coleman Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Ester Baker Spears; two
daughters, Mrs WA Hundley and Mrs
OW Jones; for sons, Percy M Spears, Chester W Spears,
George E Spears, John B Spears, all
of Augusta; one stepson, EB Meadows of Thomson; 12 grandchildren,
and a number of nieces
and nephews.

Mrs Esther B Spears Passes at Hospital
Mrs Esther Baker Spears, 70, wife of the late Eddie Lee
Spears, died yesterday at a local
hospital after an illness of one month.
Funeral services will be held at St Patrick's church tomorrow
afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev
Harold J Barr will officiate. Interment will be in West
View cemetery.
The Holy Rosary will be recited at Elliott Sons Funeral Home tonight at 8:10 o'clock.
Survivors are four sons, Percy M, George and Chester Spears
of Augusta and John B Spears
of Montmorenci, SC; two daughters, Mrs WA Hundley of
Augusta and Mrs OW Jones of North
Augusta; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren sister

Mrs. Timmerman was a native of Aiken County and a daughter
of the late John Boysworth,
native of McCormick County, and Mrs. Mary Puckett Boysworth,
of Abbeville county, SC. She
had been a resident of Augusta for the last 36 years.
She was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church, Elizabeth
Chapter No 43 Order of the
Eastern Star and Venable Bible Class.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew P. Timmerman, and a
sister, Mrs JR Jennings, both of
Augusta; two nieces, Mrs Connie Crouch of Augusta and
Mrs J Fred Johnson, of Aiken, and a
nephew, JR Jennings, Jr of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon
at Woodlawn Methodist church the Rev
JR Turner officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial
park.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Brotherhood
Bible class and Venable Bible class of
Woodlawn Methodist church and members of Elizabeth Chapter
Order of Eastern Stary.
Honorary pallbearers are requested to meet at the church
at 2:50pm
Active pallbearers will be RS Allen, JF Fiske, SD Morris,
LG Walker, BC White and Raymond W.
Hargrove.
The body will remain at Poteet funeral home until the
hour of the funeral.

Andrew P. Timmerman of 715 Wrights Ave died Wednesday
in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 5pm today in the Graniteville,
SC Cemetery with the Rev
Dave Sargent officiating. Masonic rites will be accorded.
He was a native of South Carolina, but had lived in Augusta
most of his life. He was a retired
bookkeeper and a member of Webbs Masonic Lodge, the Scottish
Rite, York Rite and Shriners.
He was a member of the Brotherhood Bible Class of Woodland
Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will include members of the Brotherhood Bible
Class, Webbs Masonic Lodge,
Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shriners.

Mrs Mattie Medlock Timmerman, 89, of 615 Wrights Ave,
died yesterday at an Augusta
convalescent home after an extended illness.
A native of Graniteville, SC, Mrs Timmerman had lived
in Augusta for the past 43 years. She
was the widow of John T Timmerman.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Poteet Funeral
Home Chapel today at 11am by the
Rev Ralph Shea, pastor of the Woodlawn Methodist Church.
Interment will be in the Graniteville
cemetery.
She is survived by one son, AP Timmerman of Augusta, tow
brothers FH Medlock of Graniteville
and Wilmer P Medlock of Augusta.
Pallbearers will be NT Barnes Jr, Roy Connell, MO Lazarm,
ED Livingston, BC Whitehead and
Samuel Allerton.
The body will be at the funeral home until the hour of
service.
The telegram stated that a letter containing details of the death would follow.
Corporal Williamson entered the service in August of 1949.
He was a member of Battery D
250th AAA Gun Battalion of the National Guard. Prior
to going overseas, he was stationed at
Fort Custer, Michigan.
In addition, to his mother , Corporal Williamson is survived
by his sister-Mrs. H.R. Sanders of
Augusta, one brother-Arthur Wesley Williamson of Augusta,
four nieces and several aunts and
uncles.

Mrs Lillie Williamson Will Be Buried Today Funeral services
for Mrs Lillie Mae Boysworth Williamson,
wife of William Robert Williamson, 624 Twelfth Street,
will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Elliott

Mrs. Williamson died at her residence Monday
following an extended illness. Pallbearers will

Church and had moved to Union City eight
years ago from Augusta.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Zeller, Vietnam,

three daughters, Mrs Josephine Altoonian, Anniston, Ala,
Mrs Rose Sprewjewski and Mrs Lena VanDer

Joe Zeller Dies At Hospital Here
Funeral Services Will Be Announced Later
Joe Zeller, 45, of 1103 Gwinnett Street, died at a local
infirmary early last night after an illness
of one hour. Funeral services will be announced later.
Mr Zeller was stricken with cerebral hemorrhage and passed
away shortly after arriving at the
hospital.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs Elizabeth Meyer
Zeller; three daughters, Miss
Josephine Zeller, Miss Rose Zeller and Miss Louise Zeller,
all of Augusta, and three sons,
Joseph Zeller, Alfred Zeller, and Frank Zeller, all of
Augusta.
Mr Zeller was a native of Germany, but had lived in Augusta
for the past 8 years. He was a
merchant and a member of the Sacred Heart Church.

Illness Is Fatal To Louise Zeller
Miss Louise Theresa Zeller, 12 year old daughter of Mrs
Elizabeth M Zeller, died last night at a local
infirmary after an illness of only two days. Funeral
arrangements will be announced later.
Miss Zeller was a student at Sacred Heart school and was very popular among her school companions.
Besides the mother, other survivors are three sisters,
Mrs Josephine Altoonian of North Augusta; Miss
Rose Zeller and Miss Lena Zeller of Augusta three brothers,
Joseph Zeller of the United States Marine
corps; Alfred and Frank Zeller of Augusta.
