Absalom Ogletree To Jesse T Smith

Spalding County This indenture made and entered
into the twenty third day of August in the year of our lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty nine between Absalom Ogletree
of the state of Georgia and county of Spalding of the one part and
Jesse T Smith of the other part of the same part Witnesseth
that the said Absalom Ogletree for and in consideration of
the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before
the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant bargain and convey unto the said Jesse T
Smith all that tract or parcel of land situate lying being in
the third district originally Henry but now Spalding County known as
the lot being fifty acres in the northwest corner of said lot or
parcel of land to have and to hold the said bargained premises
forever in fee simple and the said Absalom H Ogletree his
heirs and assigns unto the said Jesse T Smith his heirs and
assigns the right and title to the said bargained will warrant and
forever defend against the claim of themselves and against the claim
of all other persons whomsoever, in witness whereof the said
Absalom H. Ogletree hath hereunto set his hand and
affixed his seal the day and year first above written
