Lovic P. Ogletree estate To John J. Elder

Spalding County Know all men by
these presents That I Benjamin A. Ogletree duly
constituted executor of the estate both real and personal of
Lovic P. Ogletree late of Spalding County deceased by
virtue of an order of the court of Ordinary of Spalding County
granted at the regular August term Eighteen hundred and eighty eight
of said court giving the necessary leave there for (notice of the
application for said order having previously published for the
proper time and in the proper manner and as required by law did on
the first Tuesday in November eighteen hundred and eighty eight with
in the legal hours of sale put up and exposed for sale at public
outcry before the courthouse door at Griffin in the county of
Spalding the real estate hereafter described after having advertised
said sale in the proper gazette and as required by law where the
same was knocked off to John J. Elder of the county of
Spalding he being the highest and bidder at the price of five
hundred dollars cash in hand paid by the said John J. Elder
(the receipt whereof is here by acknowledged) I the said Benjamin
A. Ogletree as executor aforesaid have granted bargained and
sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell sofar as the
office of executor authorized me unto the said Jno. J. Elder
the following described real estate to wit; Seventy five acres of
land being in a body and bounded on the south by lands of John J.
Elder North by land of said Lovic P. Ogletree deceased
and west by W.J. Elders aid land herein conveyed being a part
of the home place of the said L. P. Ogletree deceased the
same commencing at the North east corner of said tract and running
South sixty seven rods one foot and five inches thence West 178 7/8
rods thence North sixty seven rods one foot and five inches thence
East 178 7/8 rods to the beginning corner situated in Union District
of said county and being a part of lot No’s. Twenty three and ten
the remaining part of the home place of the said L.P. Ogletree
decd. having been bought by H.P. Ogletree at said sale To
have and to hold the same together with all the rights members and
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Jno. J. Elder
his heirs and assigns forever in a full and simple a manner as the
same was seized possessed and enjoyed by the Lovic P.
Ogletree at the time of his death. In Witness whereof I the said
Benjamin A. Ogletree as executor as aforesaid have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this 10th day of November
eighteen hundred and eighty eight.
