to
H. P. Ogletree State of
Georgia Spalding County
This Indenture made the first day
of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight between
Lovic P. Ogletree of the one part and H. P. Ogletree of
the other part both of the state and county aforesaid Witnesseth
that the said Lovic P. Ogletree for and in consideration of
the sum of two hundred fifty dollars (250)00 to him in hand paid the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and
sold and conveyed and do these presence bargain sell and convey unto
the said H. P. Ogletree his heirs and assigns a certain tract
or parcel of land situate and lying in the third district of
originally Henry now Spalding County known in the plan of said
district as part of lot No. 111, number eleven eighty three acres
more or less lying in the south east corner of said lot commencing
at the pine not South of Dr. Chalfields house at the road
thence west with dowen to the widow Starrs line thence south to
F.E. Elders line east to the other corner of F E. Elders
line fence thence south to the pine not corner at the meeting house
road thence east to Griffin road to a Spanish oak corner thence
north along the road to the starting point containing (83) eighty
three acres more or less for the sum above mentioned with all and
singular the rights and appurtenances thereunto the said H. P.
Ogletree his heirs assigns to his and their own proper use
benifit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Lovic P.
Ogletree do warrant and defend the rights and title of the above
named parcel of land from himself his heirs executors,
administrators and from any other persons whatsoever unto the said
H. P. Ogletree his heirs and assigns in testimony of which
the said L.P. Ogletree hath hereunto set his hand and affixed
his seal the day and date above mentioned .
