This indenture made and entered into on this 18^th day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy two (1872) between Absalom Ogletree, L.D. Ellington, R Gibson, S. Brown and B.C. Bright Sr. in said county and state aforesaid of the first part and Col. A W. Walker of Henry County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Trustee of which Absalom Ogletree is chairman has this day sold and conveyed and does by these presents sell and convey unto the said A.W. Walker a certain church lot and building with all appurtenances there to attached (the seats excepted) for and in consideration of Three Hundred and fifty dollars to them paid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is here by acknowledged hath granted sold bargained and conveyed unto the said A.W. Walker his heirs and administrators and assigns to his own use the Methodist Episcopal Church situate in the city of Griffin State aforesaid on New Orleans Street being the North East corner of Lot number ________ whereon A.W. Walker is now the owner and occupied by W.H. Hightower as his family residence known as Embury Chappel Church lot on said described lot aforesaid containing forty four feet on New Orleans street front and running back one hundred feet being forty four by one hundred feet to have and to hold said bargained premises and land unto him with all the rights members and appurtenances thereof to him the said A.W. Walker his heirs and assigns forever the said Trustees aforesaid by their chairman will forever warrant and defend the right title against the claim of any and all persons whatever In witness whereof said Trustees have hereto set his hand and seal the day and year above written
