This Indenture made and entered into this Seventeenth day of December in the Year Eighteen Hundred and Fifty between Andrew McCants of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Washington Layfield and William Layfield of the County of Marion and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth:

That the said Andrew McCants for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty Five Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and convey all that tract or lot of land known and distinguished in the plan of survey by Lot. No. 137, One Hundred and Thirty Seven in the Twelfth District of Marion County to have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and singular the rights, members and appartenances in any manner belonging unto the said Washington Layfield and William Layfield, their heirs and assigns forever in fee simple and the said Andrew McCants for himself, his heirs, Executors and Administrators do forever relinquish all claims or demand whatever to them the said Washington Layfield and William Layfield, their heirs and assigns.
