Died
The many friends of Uncle Jack Perkins, as he was familiarly called, will regret to learn of his death, which sad event occurred at his home seven miles north of Butler on Saturday morning the 8th inst.  He had been in feeble health for several years but the main cause of his death was from a severe stroke of paralysis which occurred on Monday previous to his death.  Mr. Perkins was about 81 years of age and was an honest, upright citizen.  His remains were interred at Union on Sunday afternoon.
