Mr. A.D.D. Lucius died at his home in this county on Thursday the 28th of
January at the age of forty-five years. He was a good citizen, a kind and
loving son and an affectionate father. He was loved by all who knew him; always
ready to visit the sick and lend a helping hand to all in the community in which
he lived. No one could be more sadly missed. He leaves an affectionate mother,
brother, sister and son with a host of friends to mourn their loss. But may
this loss be his eternal gain. His remains were interred at Bethlehem church on
Friday the 29th by the Alliance, of which organization he was strict member
almost from its infancy, and being a zealous worker in its cause therefore be it

In Memoriam
Neisler – Died at her home in Taylor County, Georgia, on the morning of January
1st, 1891, in the 38th year of her age, Mrs. Mary A. Neisler wife of John
H. Neisler and daughter of Charles H. and Caroline E. Walker of Crawford County,
Ga. This good Samartian, this devout, lovable Christian woman; this fond
mother, wife, daughter, sister and friends could illy be spared from her place.
God saw proper to take her, and we had to give her up – a rich contribution to
celestial spirits who lived and died for their Master’s cause. Mrs. Neisler was
born in 1853 and married in 1874. She joined the M.E. Church very early in her
life, and in all her relations to her church she was a
bright and shining light, faithful to her vows, diligent to do good and ardent
in her efforts to help on her Master’s work at all times. The poor and needy
will so greatly miss her sweet and gentle charity; the sick and suffering will
look in vain for her coming and feel sorely her absence. No one of God’s
creatures ever ask in vain for help at her hands. Her presence was a perpetual
benediction to sorrowing humanity, and all who suffer and want will miss her
loving hands. She loved her family, her church and her duty. She lent her aid
liberally and willingly to the work of keeping of the house of God. She loved
the preachers of all denominations, and they will bear a willing testimony to
all this record, for they never entered her door without a welcome or left it
without a blessing. Her home is now desolate. A sorrowing husband and five
young children are left to grieve her loss. Her aged father, a sister and four
brothers remain to bless her memory and profit by her beautiful life. Oh, the
joy of that sweet moment when she met our dear old sainted mother in heaven!
We’ll greet you sister, in the skies, and will keep watch over your little ones
until they can go to you. – Brother
