Allmon, Marian Gunter
BUTLER - Funeral services for Marian Gunter Allmon, 92, of Butler, who
passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at her residence, will be held on
Tuesday at 3P.M. at Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church with Dr. Jason Shirah
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was a member of the
Butler United Methodist Church and she was preceded in death by her husband,
Malry Greysden Allmon. -Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Jerry G.
and Sue Allmon of Butler; sister, Byrdie Gunter Williams of Marianna, FL;
grandsons, Jason Allmon and wife Heather of Byron and Jerry G. Allmon, Jr. of
Atlanta; great-grandchildren: Malry G. Allmon, II and Greggory Allmon.
-Donations may be made to Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O
Jerry Allmon, Route 1, Box 244, Butler, Georgia 31006. -Visitation will be held
on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. at Edwards Funeral Home. -Edwards
Funeral Home of Butler is in charge of arrangements.
Ford, Eunice
BUTLER - Mrs. Eunice Ford, 66, passed away January 6, 2003. Services will be
1:30P.M., Saturday, January 11, 2003 at Taylor County High School Auditorium
with burial in Turner Chapel Cemetery, Reynolds, Georgia. -Lofton McDougald
Funeral Home, Butler has charge of arrangements.
Gunn, Terry Kay
BUTLER - Funeral services for Ms. Terry Kay Gunn, 32, of Butler, who passed
away on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Macon Northside Hospital will be held on
Wednesday at 2P.M. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Miller
officiating. Burial will follow in Gunn Family Cemetery. Ms. Gunn was born in
Lompoc, CA and had lived in Taylor County for the past ten years. -Terry Kay
Gunn was a very special little lady. Although born with physical and mental
disabilities, she has always exceeded everyones expectations. Her strength and
personality had an impact on everyone she came in contact with. She was an Angel
and angels are hard to find. -Survivors include her parents, Clyde G. Gunn, Jr.
and Sue Gunn of Butler; a brother, James Gunn of Boyton Beach, FL; a sister,
Dena Wilson and husband Terry of Butler; Terry was the aunt of James Wilkinson
and Jessica Ashby, both of Butler; maternal grandmother, Bea Rodgers of Augusta;
paternal grandparents: Clyde G. Gunn, Sr. and Sally Gunn of Grand Bay, AL; Uncle
Herman Rodgers and wife Ruth of Hephzibah, GA: Aunt Becky Donaldson and husband
Dave of Augusta; Aunt Barbara Harris and husband Richard of Colorado Springs,
Uncle Chuck Antill of Boyton Beach, FL; best friends, Lewis and Hilda Moulton,
Nell Miles and Glenda Brazziel, all of Butler. She was preceded in death by a
special uncle, Sam Dearringer. -Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00
until 8:00P.M. -Edwards Funeral Home of Butler is in charge of arrangements.
Mathis, Helen Williams
REYNOLDS - Helen Williams Mathis's services are 2P.M. Thursday at Freerun
Baptist Church and Cemetery. Mathis, 85, expired Friday. A Macon County native,
daughter of Jake and Linnie Williams, Mathis was the widow of James Mathis Sr.
and a Freerun member. -Survivors: children: Helen Louise Dixon of Butler; Inez,
M.C., Jackson, Willie Joe and Wilbert Mathis, all of Reynolds, Gwen Evans of
Columbus, Albert James Mathis of Duarte, CA, Elilzabeth Williams of Downingtown,
PA, Sidney, William, Bennie and James Mathis, Jr., all of Atlanta; sisters;
Annie Lizzie Henderson of Reynolds and Ozzie Brown of Hartford, CT: 45
grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. -Hicks
and Sons, Reynolds.
McDowell, Robert Allen
REYNOLDS - Robert Allen McDowell, 87, passed away on Thursday at his
residence. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Northfield, OH.
-Survivors include his wife, Sarah McDowell, a son, two daughters and
grandchildren. -Visitation: Friday from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. -Goodard Funeral
Home of Reynolds is in charge of arrangements.
Raines, Vester Sanders
REYNOLDS - Services for Vester Sanders Raines will be 2P.M. Saturday at
Rocky Mount Baptist Church and Cemetery. Raines, 78, expired Sunday. -A Reynolds
native and daughter of R.C. and Jeffie Knolton Sanders, she was a Deaconess and
Senior Choir member of Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by four children.
-Survivors include husband, Willie Clifford Raines; children, Mary (Wallace)
Flowers, Cleveland, OH, Gladys (Clarence) James of Montezuma, Bill (Sherry)
Raines of Yatesville, Amos Raines, Macon, Melvin Raines of Roberta, Willie (Ida)
Raines, Jimmy (Carolyn) Raines and Bennie (Joyce) Raines, Reynolds, Dianah
(Dennis) Towns, Remus Raines, Rosa Raines; son-in-law; Donnie Blasingame,
Roberta; 37 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; siblings: Marvin Sanders,
Newark, Beaulah Raines, Louvenia Evans, Macon and Sweetie Mae (W.L.) Hudson, Ft.

Rustin, Mildred Freeman
BUTLER - Funeral services for Mildred Freeman Rustin, 76, of Butler, who
passed away on Monday will be held on Wednesday at 11A.M. at First Baptist
Church in Butler. Burial: Mount Nebo Cemetery. -Visitation: Tuesday evening from
6:00 until 8:00PM. -Edwards Funeral Home of Butler is in charge of arrangements.
Walker, Sanders "Dooly"
REYNOLDS - Mr. Sanders "Dooly" Walker, 83, died Saturday, January 18, 2003.
Services will be 1P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Taylor County High School
Auditorium. Burial is in Carson-Bentley Cemetery. -He was born in Reynolds, GA,
April 4, 1919 to the parentage of Mercer Walker and Ethel Castleberry Walker. He
attended the public schools there. He was a retired construction worker. He was
a member of the Bethel Temple Apostolic Holiness Church. He was married to the
late Jerry Lee Montford Walker. -Survivors include daughter, Lillie B. Walker
Towns, Thomaston; two grandsons, Pastor David Towns, Jr., of Reynolds, Rudisky
Towns of Butler; sister, Corine Walker of Macon; one great-grandchild, Latonya
Jones of Thomaston. -The family will receive friends at 410 Horry Street,
placed in the Auditorium at 11:30 A.M. The funeral procession will leave the
residence at 12:20 P.M. -Lofton McDougald Funeral Home, Butler, has charge of
arrangements.
Williams, Demeatrice Lashun
BUTLER - Demeatrice L. Williams' services are 2P.M. Thursday at Freerun
Baptist Church and Cemetery. Williams, 28, was fatally wounded Saturday. -A
Reynolds native and member of Freerun, Williams was a Georgia Center for Youth
employee. -Survivors include her daughter, Zamiah Williams, Butler; parents;
Tyrone Williams, Reynolds and Lillie Mae Williams of Atlanta; brother, Tyrone
Williams Jr. of Atlanta; grandparents, Gracie and Lewis Little, Reynolds. -Her
family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00P.M. Wednesday at Hicks and Sons
Funeral Home, Reynolds.
