Died
Mrs. Sudie Edmonson, wife of Robert Edmonson and daughter of Morris Grimes died at the home of her father in this county July 21st, aged 24 years.  In early life she joined the Methodist church and lived a consisted member to the close of life.  She was married about twelve months ago to Mr. Edmonson, and to them were born a sweet and tender babe who will sadly miss an affectionate mother.  She was a devoted wife, a dutiful daughter and while a mother she was all that a mother could be.  It is to be hoped that in the “Sweet by and by” an unbroken family will be reunited in Heaven.  Her remains were interred in the cemetery at Hays’ church on Friday.  To the bereaved family we offer our sympathy.

Mrs. Ida Hortman, wife of James Hortman, died at her home in this county on Saturday July 23rd and was buried on Monday at the Mosely cemetery.  She was about 54 years of age and leaves a husband and six devoted children to mourn her loss, besides many friends and relatives.  Mrs. Hortman was a lady who had many trials in life but despite them all she devoted to the religion she professed, and left to the world a living testimony that she pleased her Master.
