Mr. I.A. Wallace of Butler, attempted to commit suicide Monday by
and come out over the left ear, passing immediately under the brain. The
physicians say
that the wound is not necessarily fatal. The cause of this rash act was a
protracted dissipation. Since the above was placed in type Mr. Wallace has
died.

Mr. Jack Paris died at his home at Reynolds on Sunday. He had been ill
for some time, and his death was not unexpected.

Death of Mr. J. M. Hobbs
Last Sunday morning at one o’clock Mr. J.M. Hobbs died at his home in Crawford
County, of dropsy of the heart. He was quite an old man and highly esteemed by
all who knew him. He was the father of Mr. Frank Hobbs who is connected
with this paper. His remains were interred at Bethel church, about eleven miles
below Butler in Taylor County, the old family burial place. – Montezuma Record
Mr. Hobbs once lived in Taylor County not far from Tazewell and will no
doubt be remembered by many people in that section.
