mrs. gladys g. “joy” gore

 

Mrs. Gladys G. “Joy” Gore, age 84, loving mother and grandmother, of Hiawassee, GA, and a former resident of Naples, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the Frances Georgeson Hospice House in Naples, FL.

Mrs. Gore was born in Toccoa, GA on December 10, 1921 to the late John Vernon and Willie Mae Garner.  She had lived in Hiawassee since 1982, when she and her late husband, Frank E. Gore, Sr. DDS retired from his dental practice in Naples.  One of the first dentists in Collier County, Dr. Gore started his practice in 1958 with Joy as his dental assistant.  Mrs. Gore was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Hiawassee.

Survivors include her four sons, Frank E. and Neda Gore of Bonita Springs, FL, Fred M. and Patricia Gore of Aragon, GA Randall V. Gore of Orlando, FL and Ronald J. Gore of Hiawassee, GA; sister, Margaret Bennett of Zephyrhills, FL; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating.  Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Gore, Brian Gore, Brandon Gore, Frank E. Gore III, Brenten D. Gore, Jason Gore, Ronald Gore, Jr., Shane Gore and Christopher Gore.

The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of your choice.

albie eller

 

Mrs. Albie Eller, age 89, of Hiawassee, GA passed away Friday, January 20, 2006 in Union General Hospital.  She was born to the late Lewis and Pearl (Ramey) Eller on June 15, 1916 in Towns County, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Isaac Eller, three brothers, and three sisters.  She is survived by niece, Mrs. Carrie Thompson, of Hiawassee, GA as well as many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Upper Hightower Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Eller, and Rev. Jarvis Bennett officiating.  Special music was provided by Glen and Shelia Eller.  Pallbearers were David Ramey, Joe Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Vernon Dixon, Alan Thompson and Charles Honeycutt.  Interment was in Boyd’s Chapel cemetery.

ms. margaret amelia jennings

 

Ms. Margaret Amelia Jennings, age 55, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Monday, January 16, 2006 at her home.

Ms. Jennings was born Sunday, may 14, 1950 in Sharon Hill, PA to the late Robert and the late Amelia (Jones) Jennings.  She had lived in the area for the past 12 years moving here from Ft. Myers, LF.

Survivors include: sister, Mary Dively; brother, Robert Jennings; sister, Alice Kelley; and brother, William Jennings, all of PA; niece Marangely Roque of Hiawassee, GA.

No services are planned.
