john a. “jack” speir III

Mr. John A. “Jack” Speir III, age 62, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at North Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Speir was born Saturday, October 21, 1944 in Huntington, WV to the late John Alexander Speir II and the late Frances Carroll Speir.  He was a 1971 graduate of Marshall University and had worked in the Hospital Industry for many years, most recently serving as a CFO.  Jack was a U.S navy veteran, an avid golfer, motorcyclist, outdoorsman and sports fan.

Survivors include: daughter, Tiffany Ann Kinsella of Ireland; daughter, Deborah Renee Henley of Florida; son, John Paul Speir of Georgia; sister, Mary Jane Arvon of West Virginia; sister, Becky Rosso of Virginia; granddaughter, Emily, grace and Madelyn Kinsella and grandson, Keaton Speir.  He is also survived by his much loved friend, Teresa Morris, along with several nieces and nephews, as well as many loving special, friends.

A memorial service was held Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home with pastor Arlene Smith officiating.
