mrs. mildred v. bushnell

 

Mrs. Mildred V. Bushell age 88 of Smyrna Rd., Young Harris passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2006 at her home following an extended illness.  Mrs. Bushell was born on April 4, 1917 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Charles Stilley and the late Laura Mixon Stilley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Bushell and by a son, Michael Roy Bushell.  Mrs. Bushell was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Bushell are one daughter, Carole Glovan of Young Harris, one sister, Viola Currie of Chicago, IL, two grandchildren, Debra Beals of West Palm FL, Richard Jacobs Jr. of Blairsville, four great-grandchildren, Ashley Beals, Greg Beals, Christina Edwards and Joseph Follari, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.  In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Bushell’s memory.

mr. james david walls

 

Mr. James David Walls, age 24, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away on January 28, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. David James Walls, in August 2005.  he was born on December 7, 1981 in Union County, Georgia.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lisa Swanson of Wahoo, NE; grandmother, Mrs. Jeanette Walls, of Hiawassee, GA; grandparents, Judy and Gilbert Wilgus of Ashland, NE; great-grandmother, Mrs. Ida Barrett of Hiawassee, GA; son, Camren, half-0brothers, Christopher and Eric Swanson, both of Wahoo, NE; step-sister, Brittane Swanson, also of Wahoo, NE; aunts, uncles, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Jarrett and Rev. Mike Youngblood officiating.  Music was provided by Rodney Underwood, Bobby Taylor and Billy Nicholson.

Pallbearers were Dana Swanson, Christopher Swanson, Rusty Parsons, Victor Marrone, Jamie Williams, and Gene Williams.

Interment was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of the arrangements.

mr. robert haydn arnett

 

Mr. Robert Haydn Arnett, age 70, of Young Harris, GA, passed away Friday, January 27, 2006 at his home.

Mr. Arnett was born Friday, November 22, 1935 in Hamilton County, Tn to the late Lloyd Hazelhurst and Ann (Lively) Arnett.  He was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church and IBEW Local #915 in Tampa, FL.  Mr. Arnett was a master electrician and retired from IBEW after 41 years service.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Haydn Arnett.

Survivors include: wife, Brenda Arnett of young Harris, GA, daughter, Lynda Arnett (Don) Johns of Lakeland, FL, daughter, Gail Ann (Robert) Clanton of Lakeland, FL, son, Michael Haydn (Janice) Arnett of Eagle Lake, FL, daughter, Nancy Lee (Gary) Willis of Taylors, SC, step-daughter, Arm (Kenny) Hash of lake, FL, step-son, Chad Thompson of Young Harris, GA, sister, Anne Arnett of Crossville, TN, brother, Lloyd Arnett of Lakeland, FL, brother, Larry Arnett of Orlando, FL, brother, Charles Arnett of Ft. White, FL, thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 30, 2006 at 1 p.m. from the McConnell Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Rudy Patton officiating.  Music was provided by Marc McFarland and patsy Daniels.  Interment was in Osborne Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Buddy Kelley, Allan Driskell, Broward Williams, Odis Shead, Ted Owenby, Mark Parker, Ralph Turner, Jim Bertrand, Justin May.
