mrs. elizabeth (betsy) cole

Mrs. Elizabeth (Betsy) Cole, age 63 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2006 at her residence.

Mrs. Cole was born Wednesday, April 15, 1942 in Lowell, MA to the late Elliot Perrin and Elizabeth (Bombardier) Perrin.  She had resided in East Hartford, CT from 1943-1986, Marietta, GA from 1986-1990 and Blairsville, GA from 1990-2004 before moving to Hiawassee in 2003.  She graduated from East Hartford High School in 1960, Morse Business School in 1961, Manchester Community College in 1984, Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute in 19985 and had worked for Kruse Caterers before moving to GA.  She was a member of East Cobb Quilt Guild, Misty Mountain Quilt Guild and Sew Sisters.

Survivors include: husband, John Cole of Hiawassee and daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Cole of Woodstock, GA.

Memorials services will be held Friday, March 3, 2006 at 12 noon from the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in Hayesville, NC, with the Father George Kloster officiating. 

The family will receive friends following service at the church.
