Lawrence
J. “Larry” Thibodeau, 48, of Young
Harris, GA, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.
He was a native of Waterbury, CT, but had lived in Towns County,
GA, for
the past three years. He had served in
the United States Army and served in Korea.
Larry was a member of the VFW and DAV and was of the Methodist
faith. He was the son of the late J.R.
Thibodeau,
Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Shannen
Darlene Thibodeau; two daughters, Kaylee Ann Thibodeau of Young Harris
and
Sarah Thibodeau of Lansing, MI; his mother, Sharron F. Verble Coursin
of Young
Harris; three sisters, Linda Bellapionta of Palm Coast, FL, Lori Myers
of
Roanoke, TX, and Holli Thibodeau of Plano, TX; a brother, jack
Thibodeau of
Plano, TX; and two grandchildren, Paige Marie Fritzler and Bobo.
A memorial service will be held at 2
PM Saturday, Feb. 19 in the Hayesville First United Methodist church
with the
Rev. Kirk Hatherly officiating and military graveside rites conducted
by the
Murphy American Legion Post 96, Murphy DAV Chapter 73, Murphy VFW Post
10222,
Hayesville American Legion Post 532, Hayesville VFW Post 6812
(Allison-Bristol), and the NC national Guard.
Inurnment will be at a alter date in Astor, FL.
