Verna
Berrong Wood, age 96, of
Surviving
are a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Linda Wood of Hiawassee, GA; a
granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Mike Marshall of Hiawassee;
one
grandson and his wife, Joe and Leslie Wood of Augusta, Georgia; three
great
grandchildren, Jordan and Evie Marshall of Hiawassee and Natalie Wood
of
Augusta, Georgia; one sister, Anne Berrong Johnson of Hiawassee,
Georgia; a
number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 from the chapel of
Banister
Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwayne Beck, Rev. Richard Roberson and Rev.
Troy
Acree officiating. Music was provided by
Dorothy Sampson, Lisa Morrow, and Larry and Marilyn Berrong.
Pallbearers
were Rodney McKay, Jack McKay DeWitt Berrong, Dwight Berrong, Leon
Berrong and
Dale Berrong. Interment was in
Banister
Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of arrangements.
