Miss Gracie Ann Lovell passed away on February 20, 2009 in Union

Hospital. She is survived by her

sister,
Madison Lovell, of Hiawassee, GA; grandparents, Reggie and Maryann

Phillip Woods, age 68, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Friday, February
20, 2009
at his residence.
Rayburn
was born Thursday, February 6, 1941 in Walker
County, AL, to the late Jiles Woods and the late hazel Arie Woods. He was an Army Veteran during the Vietman
(sic) War and loved to fish.
Survivors
include: wife, Judy Shaw Woods of Hiawassee, GA,
son, Phillip Woods, daughters, Catherine Meadow and Patricia Milam,
step-son,
Phillip Synder (sic) of Hiawassee, GA, step-son, Robert Sloat of
Cleveland, GA
and 3 step-grandchildren.

Edward Earl Stratton. She is survived by
a niece and nephew-in-law, Betty and James Grimes, of Hiawassee, GA;

Linda Herman, of Dahlonega, GA; one niece, Patty Stratton, and one
nephew, Herb
Stratton, both of Merritt Island, FL. No

Shirley
McClure Shook, age 74 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Friday, February
29, 2009
at home. Shirley was born Monday,
December 17, 1934 in Clay County, NC, to the late George McClure and
the late
Cordia Cowart McClure. She attended
Shooting Creek Church of God and was preceded in death by sons, Buddy
and Randy
Shook, four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors
include: husband, J.W. Shook of Young Harris, GA,
daughter, Delores Mason of Clarkesville, GA, son, Danny Shook of Young
Harris,
GA, son, Larry Shook of Young Harris, GA, daughter, Christi Schafer of
Blairsville, GA, daughter, Michelle Gibson of Hiawassee, GA, 15
grandchildren,
9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were held Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 2 PM from the Cochran
Funeral
Home with Rev. Gary Ashe officiating.
Music was provided by Mike Garrett. Interment
was in many Forks Baptist
Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were:
grandsons, Trevor Shook, Terence Shook, Jason Shook, Jared Shook, Josh
Shook,
Austin Denton and Chase Schafer.

Mr.
Robert
“Hoyle” Bryson, Sr. age 95 of Young Harris, GA, passed away on
Wednesday,
February 18, 2009 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late and Margaret
(Sampson) Bryson on November 27 1913 in Towns County, Ga.
He was a Deacon and member of Old Union
Baptist Church.
He is
survived by two sons, bob Bryson, of
Hiawassee, GA;
Bryan Bryson, of Cleveland, GA; four grandchildren, six great
grandchildren, a
special friend, Janice Walls and a number of nieces and nephews also
survive.
Funeral
services were held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 11 AM from Old Union
Baptist
Church with Rev. Jimmy Hogsed and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Eulogy was spoken by Mr. Zell Miller. Music was provided by Dorothy, Ulysses and
Phillip Sampson. Pallbearers were: Odell
Plott, Byron McCombs, Dustin Burch, Clarence Collins, Rick Robinson and
Gene
Coker. Honorary pallbearers were: Bobby
Smith and Charles Erwin.
In lieu of
flowers, the family request donations be
sent to Old
Union Baptist Church, 1722 Old Union Church Rd., Young Harris, GA 30582.
