mrs. hazel dover

 

Mrs. Hazel Dover, age 88, of Hayesville, NC passed away on February 20, 2006 following a period of declining health.  She was born in Towns County, GA August 25, 1917, to the late Ralph and Lucy Eller Bradshaw.  She was the widow of the late Clyde E. Dover who passed away in 2001.

Surviving are her daughter Mrs. Lou Sams of Hayesville, NC, Grandson and wife Dan and Rebecca Sams of Hiawassee, GA; great grandson Michael Sams of Hiawassee, and a number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 8 PM from the chapel of the Banister Funeral Home in Hiawassee with the Rev. Glenn Eller officiating.  Interment was in the Boyds Chapel Cemetery.

mr. ralph lawton noblet

 

Mr. Ralph Lawton Noblet, age 50, of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2006 following injuries sustained in a car accident.  He was a member of the James Goodwin and the Pick-Up Band as a bass player and also the Georgia Mountain Fair.  He was born to Ruby (Abercrombie) Noblet and the late Lawton B. Noblet on April 5, 1955 in Cobb County, GA.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruby Noblet of Kennesaw, GA; daughter, Rebecca Evalee Noblet, of Hiawassee, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Debbie Noblet, of Cartersville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Henry Grizzle, of Dahlonega, GA; sister, Kathi Reeves Noblet, of Loganville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Tom Mims, of Kennesaw, GA; special “brother,” James Goodwin, of Hiawassee, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 3 p.m. from Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating.  Pallbearers were James Goodwin, Kevin Goodwin, Rusty, Randy and Ritchie Grizzle, and Josh Adair.  Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Goodwin and David Goodwin.  Interment was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
