mr. joel b. garrett

Mr. Joel B. Garrett, age 58, of Hiawassee, died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Union General Hospital.

Mr. Garrett was born September 15, 1946 in Towns County, GA to the late Daniel and Nellie (Lockaby) Garrett.  He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Garrett.

Survivors include: wife, Judy Garrett of Hiawassee, GA; son, Michael Garrett of Hiawassee, GA; son, Curtis Garrett of Hiawassee, GA; sister, Kathy Ferguson of Hiawassee, GA; granddaughter, Crystal Britt of Murphy, NC.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating.  Music was provided by The Troy Phillips Family. Pallbearers were Shane Garrett, Kenny Garrett, David Garrett, Brian Davis, Burke Ferguson and Junior Berrong.  Burial was in Osborne Cemetery.
