harold monroe king

 

            Mr. Harold Monroe King, age 61 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.  Mr. King was born Monday, January 19, 1948 in Union County, GA to the late Vaughn King and the late Margie Elliott King.  He was a member of Woods Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by brother, James King., age , of Blairsville, GA, passed away at Union General Hospital in Blairsville following an extended illness following a brief illness. 

Survivors include: wife, Gloria King of Young Harris, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Melissa and Kirt Kimsey of Hiawassee, GA, son, Jason King of Hiawassee, GA, granddaughters, Faith Kimsey and Hope Kimsey, brothers, Vaughn King of Blairsville, GA and Hoyle King of Blairsville, GA, sisters, Martha Moss of Blairsville, GA, Pauline Bridges of Blairsville, GA, Linda Beavers of Blue Ridge, GA, Carol McGaha of Blairsville, GA, Christine Broome of Gainesville, GA, and Minnie Garrett of Blairsville, GA, several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 2 PM from Woods Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Robertson and Rev. Darryl Dale officiating.  Music was provided by Rev. Ricky Rogers and Wilson Family.  Interment was in Woods Grove Baptist Cemetery.  Pallbearers were deacons of Woods Grove Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were nephews.

james a. “jimmy” wages

 

            James A. “Jimmy” Wages, age 62 of Young Harris, passed away March 2, 2009.  He was a man with few words!  A strong man, good provider and a wonderful DAD!  Jimmy worked for 25 years at Southeastern Freight Lines.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Wages; daughters and sons-in-law, Patty & Ray Wages—Smith, Ellenwood, Sabrina & Gary Barnes, Young Harris; son and daughters-in-law, James & Suyapa Wages, Jr., Snellville; sisters, Shirley Summey, Blairsville, Carolyn farmer, Conyers; brothers, Billy Wages, Hiawassee, Johnny Wages, Covington; grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Kenny, Tabitha, Natalie, Angelica, Karol; great grandchildren, tae, Aaron, Miracle and Destiny. 

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2009 in the Eternal Hills Chapel with Rev. Mike Farmer officiating.  Interment, Hillcrest Assembly of God Church Cemetery, Hayesville, NC with Rev. Tim Jones officiating.  Visitation with the family was held Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Snellville, 770-972-3155.
