becky hall

Mrs. Becky Hall, age 81 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 at her home after battling a lengthy illness.

Becky was born Wednesday, January 20, 1926 to the late Albert Homer Baldock and the late Grace Ryan Baldock.  She was raised in Charleston, WV and attended Morris Harvey College.  The family moved to South FL in 1960 where they remained until Becky and Jim retired in 1982.  She was a retired Director of Human resources and a member of Hiawassee United Methodist Church.  Becky and Jim were married in 1964, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Becky positively affected everyone with whom she came in contact, a great and wonderful lady who had many friends.  One of her favorite things was to always be correct in grammar – “regardless” of your relationship to her.  She and Jim moved to Hiawassee in 1984, after buying a home on Lake Chatuge.  She was active in the arts and crafts, as well as in her church.  She and Jim had a booth at the Georgia Mountain Fair for 7 years where they sold Jim’s lamps.

Survivors include: husband, Jim Hall of Hiawassee, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Carolyn and David Craig of Louisville, KY, son & daughter-in-law, Mike and Chris Kelly of pompano Beach, FL, son & daughter-in-law, Doug and Cynthia Kelly of Hiawassee, GA, grandchildren, Sam, Abbi and Mary Kate Craig, Ryan and Caitlin Kelly, Ashley and Wesley Kelly and step granddaughter, Melissa Davison.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from the Hiawassee United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Blair officiating.

In lieu of flowers and other gifts, the family suggests that donations may be made in her name to the Towns County Humane Society.

The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.  You may send condolences to the family and sign the guest register at www.cochranfuneralhomes.com.
