jacqueline “jackie” caroline burrell ditmore
Jacqueline
“Jackie” Caroline Burrell Ditmore, age 46, of Hiawassee, GA passed away
on
Monday, March 24, 2008 following a period of declining health. She was born to J.C. and Wanda Thomas Burrell
on June 22, 1961 in Towns County, GA.
Following home those who passed before her were her grandson,
Jake John
Ditmore, III; granddaughter, Genesis A.
Ditmore, and
daughter-in-law, Gina Bradshaw Ditmore.
She is
survived by her parents, J.C. and Wanda Burrell of Hiawassee, GA;
husband,
Richard Ditmore of Hiawassee, GA; sons, Sam Ditmore of Gainesville, GA
and Jake
J. Ditmore, II of Hiawassee, GA; brothers, David Burrell and Joe
Burrell, both
of Florida, and Keith Burrell of Arizona; sisters, Kathy Luke, Darlene
Bonce
and Brenda Hoffman, all of Florida and Tammy Holcomb of Hiawassee, GA;
a number
of nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside
services were held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at
2 p.m. from Osborn Cemetery with Rev. Glen Eller, Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Jimmy Burrell
officiating. Honorary pallbearers
were Josh Carnes,
Phillip Kelly, Chris Rogers, Jerry Rogers, mark Ditmore, and Jeff
Lunsford. Interment was in Osborn
Cemetery.

Mrs.
Suzanne W. Parham, age 86, of Young Harris, GA passed away on
Wednesday, March
26, 2008 following a period of declining health. She
was born to the late George and Sue Moore
Wannamaker on November 24, 1921 in Calhoun County, SC.
She is
survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Mr. Wallace Parham of Young
Harris,
GA; daughter, Mrs. Carol Chastain of Hiawassee, GA; son, Mr. Allen
Parham of
Raleigh, NC; brother, Mr. George Wannamaker, Jr. of Powder Springs, GA;
three
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;
and a
number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services
were held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. from Hiawassee United
Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Blair officiating. Pallbearers
were James Mayfield, Robert
Mayfield, Billy Chastain, and Brandon Jones.
Music was provided by Hope Horkavy.
Interment was in the United Methodist Cemetery in Hayesville, NC.

Mrs.
Inez Hooper Shook, age 94, of Young Harris, GA passed away on Friday,
March 28,
2008 following
a period of
declining health. She was born to the
late Grover and Evie Hooper on July 12, 1913 in Towns County, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr.
Arvil M. Shook; daughters, Dale Brown and Eva Ruth Southern; son, Noel
Shook.
Surviving
are one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Hamby of Young Harris, GA; sons, Paul
Shook and
Grover Shook of Young Harris, GA, Terrell Shook of Woodstock, GA, Guy
Wayne
Shook of Blairsville, GA; sister, Mrs. Vada Lee Cothren of Swannanoa,
NC; 18
grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and
nephews.
Funeral
services were held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 2 p.m.
from West Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Larry
Williams officiating. Interment followed
in the West Union Baptist
Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnny
Southern, Danny Brown, Brant Shook, Tim Shook, Greg Shook, Delin Brown,
and
Jimmy Southern.
