deborah totherow hunter

 

Mrs. Deborah Totherow Hunter, age 42, of Franklin Rd., Plainville, GA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2004 in the Gordon County Hospital following a brief illness.  Mrs. Hunter was born on August 5, 1961 in Towns County, the daughter of Jimmy Totherow and Lois Helton Totherow.  She had attended the Union County School System.  In 1979 she moved to Plainville, GA.  At the time of her death she was employed by Horizon/Mohawk Carpet Mills.  Deborah was followed in death by her mother in law, Martha Nell Goforth who passed away on May 18, 2004.  Mrs. Hunter was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Hunter are her loving husband of twenty three years, Jerry Hunter of Plainville; two sons and one daughter in law, Alan and Donna Hunter of Blairsville; Jeremy Hunter of Blairsville; father, Jimmy Totherow of Blairsville; mother, Lois Totherow of Blairsville; two sisters, Sheila McKinney and Lora Kirkland of Blairsville; four brothers and three sisters in law, David and Marsha Totherow, Michael and Cindy Totherow, Robby and Cindy Totherow and Jeff Totherow, all of Blairsville; one grandchild, Austin Hunter; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Leon Henderson and Rev. Joe Dan Wilkens officiating.  Special music was presented by the Faith Singers.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Junior Taylor, David Dyer, Lamar Dyer, Jonathan Lloyd, Ben Collins and Jason Totherow.  Interment followed in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Young Harris.

ralph r. barrow

 

Mr. Ralph R. Barrow, age 44, recently passed away from a sudden illness while in Orlando, on May 13, 2004.  Mr. Barrow was born in Orlando, Florida and resided in Towns County for the past 16 years.

Survived by sons, Chris Barrow, of Young Harris and Paul Chaney Barrow, of Louisiana; daughters, Angela Spitz and Sandy Barrow, of Deltona, Florida; Companion, Felicia Kirby of Young Harris; two grandchildren, Isac and Marissa; Mother, Mary Cantrell of Blairsville; Brothers, Robbie Trevarthen of Blairsville and Odel Barrow of Orlando, Florida; Sisters, Lana Lang of Orlando, Florida and Becky Banks of Young Harris; Many other relatives and friends also survive.

By trade he could do anything.  He was tremendously loved by everyone he met.  He will be missed my many.

Services were held at Union Park Memorial Chapel in Orlando, Florida on May 17.

joseph ford kimsey

 

Mr. Joseph Ford Kimsey, age 63, of Hiawassee, GA passed away Friday, May 21, 2004 following a period of declining health.  He was born to the late Andrew and Ruth (Ford) Kimsey on September 23, 1940 in Rabun Co., GA.  He is survived by two brothers, Mr. Ralph Kimsey, and Mr. Michael (Pete) Kimsey, both of Hiawassee, GA; one sister, Deborah Sellers of Sitka, Alaska, and a number of nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with the Rev. David Berrong, and the Rev. Harold Ledford officiating.  Interment was in the Osborn Cemetery.  Nephews served as pallbearers.  Music was provided by the Hogsed Family.  Graveside honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
