Mr.
Gerard Frank Sullivan, age 92, of Crooked Creek Rd., Young Harris
passed away
on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Sullivan was born on August 8, 1915 in
Boston, MA, the son of the late Frank Sullivan and the late
Marjorie Fitzgerald. He was a veteran of
the U.S. Army of WWII. Gerard was an
avid sports fan, especially, baseball.
He was a lover of life and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily
Lewis Sullivan in 1987; a sister, Marjorie Kelly and a brother, Paul
Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was of the
Christian faith.
Surviving Mr.
Sullivan are four daughters, Lynne Potter of Young Harris, Marjorie
Holland,
Barbara and Jane Sullivan all of Boston, MA; two sons, Craige Minari of
Young
Harris and Jerry Sullivan of Boston, MA; several nieces and nephews,
numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other relatives and
friends also
survive.
A
memorial service will be held at a later date and will be
announced. In lieu of flowers, if you
wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Regency Hospice
in Mr.
Sullivan’s memory.
