Mrs. Kate Moss, age 87, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at North East Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Moss was born Monday, March 3, 1919 in Towns County, GA to the late Ezekiel and the late Cora (Neal) Gribble.  She was a member of Bell Scene Baptist Church.  Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Moss and daughter, Loretta Moss.

Survivors include; son, Zearl Moss of Hiawassee, GA; daughter, Latane Youngblood of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Lanier Moss of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Lillian Mull of Hayesville, NC; daughter, Lavonda Peevy of Buford, GA; seven grandchildren, seven great-granddchildren

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. from the Bell Scene Baptist Church with Rev. Kenney Beavers and Rev. Gary Moss officiating.  Music was provided by Eagle Mountain Quartet.   Interment was in Bell Scene Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers were: Curt Moss, Greg Moss, Eddie Moss, Danny Bryant, Jonathan Mull, Tim Burch.  Honorary pallbearers were jack Moss, Decatur Bradshaw, Jr.

ralph stephens

 

Mr. Ralph Stephens, age 90, of Young Harris, GA passed away on Friday, June 9, 2006 following a brief illness.  He was born to the late Alexander and Julia (Land) Stephens on December 12, 1915 in Towns County, GA.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Louise Stephens and a grandson, Mr. Brian Stephens.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Helen Hogsed, daughter & son-in-law, Wilma & Junior Youngblood, sons, mike & J.D. Stephens, all of Young Harris, GA, and a sister, Mrs. Clara Belle Collins of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Scott and Steve Youngblood, Greg Robertson; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Alec, and Hannah Youngblood, and Mira Stephens and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Old Union Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Youngsblood officiating.  Pallbearers were Watson Stephens, Stacy Stephens, Ronnie Collins, Phillip Sampson, Greg Robertson, and Scott Youngblood.  Music was provided by old Union Baptist Church Choir.  Interment was in old Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
