mr. franklin “grank” mcconnell

The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of Mr. Franklin “Frank” McConnell, age 70, formerly of Hiawassee, who passed away April 23, 2004 in Indiana.

Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, June 27, 2004 at 2:30 pm from the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of arrangements.

clayton columbus hutchinson

Mr. Clayton Columbus Hutchinson, age 91, of Young Harris, GA., passed away June 20, 2004 following an extended illness.  He was born to the late Lum and Ici Chancellor Hutchinson on January 15, 1913 in Jones County, MS.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Hutchinson, of Young Harris, Ga; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and William Lety, of Young Harris, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Laverne Hutchinson, of Roxie, MS; sister, Ernestine DePriest, of Dothan, AL; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services were held from Old Union Baptist church Cemetery on June 23, 2003 with the Rev. Patty Ryle Clay officiating.  Pallbearers were Michael Lety, Barry Hutchinson, Cecil Hughes, Olin Hughes, Sammy Hughes and Tommy Chastain.

Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of arrangements.
