mrs. betty jean jackson

 

Mrs. Betty Jean Jackson, age 73, of Hampton, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Henry County Medical Center.

Mrs. Jackson was born Thursday, May 26, 1932 in Towns County, GA to the late Carlton and Carrie (Ledford) Nations.  She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Patricia Ann Fields of Hampton, GA; sister, Ruth Sprinkles of Hiawassee; sister, Sue Matheson of Clayton, GA; sister, Becky Drake of Flowery branch, GA; granddaughter, Jessica Marie Fields; step granddaughter, Christie McClure; step grandson, Leo Smith; step granddaughter, Telissa Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Eller officiating.  Music was provided by Kerry and Kathy Dills.  Pallbearers were Leo Smith, Stacy Garrett, Roy Dean Sprinkles, Reggie Sprinkles, Andrew Dills and Carl Grizzle.  Interment was in Osborn Cemetery.

mr. dominic robertiello, jr.

 

Mr. Dominic Robertiello, Jr., age 73, of Young Harris, GA, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005.

Mr. Robertiello, Jr. was born Saturday, October 31, 1931 in Patterson, NJ to the late Dominic Robertiello, Sr. and the late Marie Redmond.  He was preceded in death by sister, Judy Robertiello.

Dominic was a pastry chef by profession where he spent 17 years at Walt Disney World managing their bakery production.  He lived in Kissimmee, FL, for 25 years and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee.

Dominic and his wife, Jayne, retired to Young Harris in 1997 and became active members of the community.  Dom was a member of the Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher and volunteered in the front office.  Dom was also an avid builder with Habitat for Humanity in Towns/Union Counties and delivered Meals on Wheels.  Dom participated in several mission trips where he helped build churches in panama and Jamaica.  During the recent hurricane season in Florida, Dom made several trips to donate his time and energy to help the victims.  Dom and Jayne also sponsor a child in the Philippines.

Survivors include: wife, Jayne Robertiello of Young Harris, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jamie McAllister of Alpharetta, GA and Ann and Eric Enriquez of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, Vincent Robertiello of Indian Shores, FL; beloved dogs, Lucky and Koco.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darris Baker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dom’s name to either: Habitat for Humanity, Towns/Union Counties or to Sharp Memorial Untied Methodist Church, Bus Fund, P.O. Box 66, Young Harris, GA 30582.

Dominic Robertiello was a loving, gracious and giving humanitarian.  He was a wonderful husband, father and friend.  Our world will not be the same without him.  He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
