betty h. cronic

 

            Mrs. Betty H. Cronic, age 68 of West Union Church Rd., Young Harris passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at her home following an extended illness.  Mrs. Cronic was born on Jan. 20, 1941 in Jackson County, GA, the daughter of the late George Haynie and the late Viola Reeves Haynie.  Betty always laughed and found something good in everyone.  She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.  She was always supportive of her family.  She was preceded in death by a son, Chris Flowers in 1984 and her husband, harry Cronic in2003.  Mrs. Cronic was of the Baptist faith. 

            Surviving Mrs. Cronic are one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and William Lovell of Young Harris, one son and daughter-in-law, John Dyer and Rene Shoffett of Oakwood, GA, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Zane Haynie of Arlington, VA, Jay and Pat Haynie of Bethlehem, GA, Frank and Sally Haynie of Snellville, five grandchildren, Emily dyer, Rachel Dyer, Tommy Mitchell, P.J. and April Mitchell, Diandra Lovell, many other relatives and friends also survive.

            A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the Chicopee Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Carpenter officiating.  Special music was presented by April Mitchell.  In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Christian Love Ministries, PO Box 376, Murphy, NC 28906 in memory of Mrs. Cronic.

jasper bonnell “jack”dyer

 

            Jasper Bonnell (Jack) Dyer, age 71 of Young Harris, GA, formerly of Blairsville passed away Tuesday, June 23 at his home.  Mr. Dyer was born in Union Co, GA, to the late Lester and Ethelene (Saxon) Dyer.  He was a member of Pinetop Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran. 

Survivors include: wife, Sheila Dyer of Young Harris, GA, son, Gregory Dyer of Blairsville, GA, daughter, Amanda Dyer of Blairsville, GA, daughter, Donna Collins of Blairsville, GA, step-son, James LaRoche of Young Harris, GA, step-daughter, Nicole McBrayer of Cumming, GA, brother, Melvin Dyer of Taylorsville, GA, sister, Audrey Ledford of Blairsville, GA, four grandchildren.

            Funeral services were held Thursday, June 25, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Dale officiating.  Music was provided by Wendy Tullis.  Interment was in pine Top Baptist church Cemetery with Military honors by The North GA Honor Guard.  Pallbearers were Gregory Dyer, James LaRoche, Melvin Dyer, Danny Henson, Doug Collins and Dakota Collins.

rose marie eller

 

            Mrs. Rose Marie Hunter Eller, age 78 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. 

Mrs. Eller was born Sunday, October 12, 1930 the daughter of the late Herschel Hunter and the late Callie Coffey Hunter.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her.  She enjoyed hiking, nature, wildlife, reading and lending a hand to everyone in need.  But most of all, she loved her family.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. 

            Surviving Mrs. Eller is her husband of 58 years, Edward Eller of Hiawassee, GA, one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tamra Eller of Hiawassee, GA, 3 daughters, Joan Long of Hiawassee, GA, Judy Carpenter of Blairsville, GA and Joyce and Steve Perry of Blairsville, GA, 6 grandchildren: Jeremy Eller, Jennifer Burrell, Melinda Nichols, Michael Long, Melanie Coffey and Tracy Cann, 7 great grandchildren: Dylan Burrell, Devyn Burrell, Kira Parnell, Sydney Coffey, Tyler Long, Carli Coffey and Gabe Eller.  She is also survived by one sister, Leona Waters of Nantahala, NC and one brother, glen Hunter of Livingston, TX. 

            Funeral services were held Monday, June 29, 2009 at 2 PM from the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with Rev. Glen Eller officiating.  Serving as pallbearers were: Jerry Eller, Jeremy Eller, Michael Long, Steve Perry, Roger Dotson and Shannon Burrell.  Music was provided by Glen and Sheila Eller.

Interment was in the Upper Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, Hiawassee, GA.
